About Eterno Minerals of the World

Eterno Minerals of the World (Eterno) develops and realizes concrete floors. Eterno is translated from Italian: ‘always constant and eternal’. The company aims to continuously improve the quality, sustainability and production process of floors. In addition, an Eterno floor has a long to almost endless life. Minerals from all over the world in all possible colors and sizes are used in Eterno floors. In this way, a unique result is always guaranteed.

Eterno attaches great value to cooperation. Knowledge is constantly shared with about ten permanent partners. In this innovative way, Eterno meets the demand from the market faster and better.

Why cooperation with partners?
The knowledge and efforts of partners is used for Research and Development purposes. These partners do enjoy the trust of each other.

By means of this collaboration we recreate the cost structure between the market parties without one party being able to dominate the other. In this way, the risk can also been overseen and the partners can concentrate on their core business.

Collaboration of the partners in the vertical supply chain
A vertical strategic alliance can be defined as a sustainable partnership between companies that are linked in the supply chain. With the aim of producing more value and/or at lower costs than is possible in a transactional relationship. The form of cooperation goes much further than annual contracts or framework contracts in which the supplier accepts a lower price in exchange for a larger sales volume. In a vertical strategic alliance, the connections between suppliers and customers are sustainable, broad, deep and unique.

Added value of vertical strategic alliances
The potential added value of vertical strategic alliances can be described as Cost efficient, Knowledge sharing and Quality improvement.

Knowledge exchange
The exchange of knowledge and thinking outside the boundaries of one’s own business domain is essential. This shortens development time for new products, improves product performance and lowers overall costs. Knowledge exchange is therefore the basis for innovation and quality. In both cases, more value is created in the interest of the end user. Exchange of knowledge about parts creates new knowledge, knowledge of the total process and total product in relation to quality and functionality for the end user.
