Erasmus Medical Center – Rotterdam (NL)

“The floor in the central connecting street must provide the appearance of a streetscape. Five large corton steel gates form the entrance to the various medical departments. The entrance facades have large glass surfaces, matching the scale of the building. In short, it is clearly visible from the outside, which should increase accessibility. The appearance of the streetscape should contribute to the open character of the hospital, so that visitors feel more welcome and the barrier to entry is lowered, as it were.”
